It’s nice to have achievements,
The dream job,
The dream family,
Influential friends,
Having a sense of belonging,
Money,
Things
These were all my dreams, what are yours? They are all nice, and I have been blessed with all of it at some point. But I also know what it is like to have none of it, completely stripped or pruned, even while serving God.
Will we show up when we do not have the blessings?
Will we continue to do whatever it is God is asking of us at that time?
Or will we wallow in self pity. Feeling we deserve something better or more. Thinking how could a loving God do such a thing? Feeling abandoned.
Do we curse God?
Do we curse people?
Thinking that will get us some satisfaction.
On the other side of it. We are the caring ones, whether it is for our spouses, children, a relative or friend. When something happens to them or we see them going in a so-called wrong direction, do we go all out to save them? Do we think we are the only ones who can help them? Are we helping because we really want to or because we feel a sense of acceptance or satisfaction that we are needed?
God is all we need.
It is at this time that God is most present. Offering a drink from his well. Offering the gift. Will we accept it? Freedom is knowing that even though its all available to us we really don’t need it. We know that none of it will save us. We know that we cannot save anyone. That is not our job. Let us release all the burden today.
Knowing that God alone is enough.
With grace and growth,
Sanchia and team.
