Recognizing Our Blessings: God Carries Us

When I was a child, I often spent my summer holidays in the country with my sisters at my aunty’s house. Even though I was only about three years old, those memories remain with me today. I often wonder why they linger so deeply.

I remember being the youngest, carried on the shoulders of my older cousins. I didn’t need to walk on the stones going up or down the hill. I felt completely protected, as though nothing could harm me, because I knew they would take care of me. That sense of safety stayed with me.

Looking back, I realize this was more than just childhood play—it was a lesson. My cousins would say, “Don’t be afraid, I won’t let anything happen to you.” And I trusted them fully.

As a believer, I see the same truth in my walk with God. Even when I cannot see Him, I can feel His hand of protection over my life. He is true to His Word. Just as I trusted my cousins to carry me, I have learned to trust God to carry me through life.

From the very beginning, He has always been there, guiding, leading, and protecting. And He will carry you too, if you trust Him with every area of your life.

So today, I encourage you: Trust in the Lord. He will not let you fall.

With love,

Jacqueline Bell
