What Do You Do When Life Throws a Curveball?
Sometimes life throws curveballs—and they don’t all come the same size. Some are light and easy to catch, while others hit so hard they knock the wind right out of you. I’ve had more than a few of those hard ones. The kind that leave you stunned, wondering how you’ll move forward. And yet, somehow… I’m still standing.
That’s when I know—God is still in control.
I used to think God waited too long to show up in my situation. I’d pray, cry, and wait, wondering when He’d step in. But over time, I’ve learned something that changed my whole perspective: when God shows up, it’s always the right time. Looking back, I can truly say, “Yes, God took it over.”
A few years ago, I took a medication I never expected would turn my life upside-down. Since then, I’ve faced one issue after another. Every time I walk into the doctor’s office, I almost brace myself for the next thing. And when the doctor says, “Oh, there’s something else…” my response is simple:
“Okay.”
But my “okay” isn’t about giving up.
It’s a faith-filled okay.
It’s me saying, “God, You did it before. You’ll do it again.”
I’ve seen Him move in ways that only He can. He’s carried me through seasons I didn’t think I’d survive. So now, even when I don’t understand, I trust Him. I trust Him to carry me. To guide me. To lead me forward, just like He always has.
When my heart feels heavy, I don’t run—I worship.
I sing. I thank Him. I lift my hands, even when my strength is low, because He gives me breath every single moment.
And that alone is reason to praise.
So today, I just want to say, Thank You, God, for loving me.
Through it all. In it all. I am still standing because of You.
Love,
Jackie.
